Frequently Asked Questions

Our team will respond within 2-3 business days for email enquiries
How long do therapy sessions last?
Typically a 60-minute session will consist of 45 minutes of direct therapy and 15 minutes set aside for answering questions, discussing home strategies and next steps etc. Therapy session times can fluctuate, however, based on a variety of factors including the age of the child, the child’s attention span that day, and the nature and severity of the child’s needs.
Do you direct bill?
Yes! We offer direct billing for any clients who hold AB Blue Cross. We do not offer direct billing for other insurance providers at this time. Most extended insurance providers and employer benefit plans have coverage for speech pathology as well as occupational and physical therapy services. We are happy to provide you with the paperwork needed to seek reimbursement. Please speak with your insurance company directly to discuss your specific plan's coverage and reimbursement policies.
Where do sessions take place? What days are you open?
Sessions will take place in our clinic space in Westmount. Free parking in the parking lot behind the building is available, as well as 2-hour free street parking. The clinic is located on the lower level. There are stairs to access our level, please contact us if you have accessibility concerns. Virtual appointments can also be discussed should you prefer.

We provide services from Monday-Friday, 9:00-4:00 with some evening and weekend spots available. Please contact us if you'd like after-hour or weekend sessions and we will do our best to accommodate you!
What is the cancellation policy?
24-hour notice is required for cancellation. If no notice or less than 24 hours' notice is given, the full session fee will be charged. If three consecutive sessions are missed or canceled, the provider reserves the right to discharge the child from their caseload.

If the client arrives late, the session duration will be adjusted accordingly and end at the original time in order for the next client to be seen on time. The full fee will be charged.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Visa, Mastercard or etransfer are accepted at the end of each session; a receipt will be provided for insurance purposes.
